Acclaimed children's author and entertainer David Walliams has parted ways with his UK book publisher, according to an announcement.

A spokesman for the firm said: "Following a thorough review, and under the leadership of its fresh leadership, HarperCollins UK will not be releasing future works by David Walliams."

It has been reported that the move was taken subsequent to an review of reports of inappropriate behaviour involving women.

The firm did not confirm the reasons for its decision, stating: "It is not our policy to discuss confidential company decisions."

An Illustrious Writing Journey

Walliams stands as a most best-selling authors for kids, boasting over over six tens of millions of copies globally in 55 languages.

The debut children's novel from Walliams, *The Boy in the Dress*, came out under HarperCollins back in 2008.

A number of his titles, for example *Gangsta Granny* and *Billionaire Boy*, have found new life as small-screen adaptations.

To date, he has released in excess of 40 works altogether, which features a holiday title titled *Santa & Son*, which was published by HarperCollins last autumn.

Television and Literature

He first rose to fame on the TV sketch series *Little Britain* and has also won National Television Awards for his role as a panelist on *Britain's Got Talent*.

He was awarded an OBE in 2017 in recognition of his work for philanthropic and artistic endeavors.

This move occurs subsequent to the appointment of Kate Elton as HarperCollins UK's new chief executive in October.
